Provides that the Secretary of State shall adopt rules for implementing the new provisions. Increases the fee for an original instruction permit to a person under 18 who has not had a previous permit or license. Creates the Safe Student Drive Fund and deposits.

SUMMARY:

 

 

Amends the School Code. Sets forth policy requirements for school districts that collect biometric data, including written permission, discontinuation of use of information, destruction of such information, prohibition on sale or disclosure of such information, storage, retrieval and protection of biometric information. Provides that failure to provide permission shall not be a basis for refusal of services otherwise available to the student.
