NASPE Workshops

NASPE is hosting three special workshops that physical education members will want to know about. This is an opportunity for you to get lesson and activity ideas from the newest NASPE 2005 District Teachers of the Year.

Innovative Physical Education: Teaching Tips from the 2005 NASPE District Teachers of the Year will again be hosted by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE). Here is an opportunity for physical education teachers to get lesson and activity ideas from the newest NASPE 2005 District Teachers of the Year. On Saturday, June 25, 2005, the six elementary, six middle school, and five high school Teachers of the Year will present their best teaching tips and activities in three all-day workshops -- one workshop at each level. The workshops are being held at G C Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia, and will run from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

This is the chance for teachers to get a great professional development workshop in before summer vacations start. The price is only $50 for NASPE/AAHPERD members and $60 for non-members, and NASPE will give each teacher a certificate for 6 hours of professional development at the end of the workshops.

As an additional bonus, teachers will be able to purchase Sportime equipment at half-price! Sportime, a sponsor of the workshops, is supplying all of the equipment used in the workshops and will sell all of the equipment at half-price at the end of the workshops.
